Animation Courtyard/Mickey Avenue Shopping

Many guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios do not enter this theme park with the intentions of purchasing mass quantities of merchandise. But, the Walt Disney World Resort makes it easy for guests to make purchases throughout the day without having to worry about the hassle of keeping up with your souvenirs. With conveniences such as package pick-up at the front of the park, free package delivery to your hotel room if you are staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels and shipping options anywhere in the world (with an extra fee from FedEx), the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort make it easier than ever for you to enjoy your time at the attractions without worrying about whether or not to purchase that perfect souvenir to bring back home with you from your vacation.

One of the most unexpected places inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios to purchase souvenirs is in the Mickey Avenue Animation Courtyard area. Home to attractions such as Toy Story Mania!, Playhouse Disney – Live on Stage and Voyage of the Little Mermaid, this area is the perfect setting to get unique merchandise that you won’t find in any other area of the park.

Upon entering the Animation Courtyard, guests are immediately met with a plethora of shopping opportunities. On the immediate left as you pass through the arch that separates Hollywood Boulevard from the Animation Courtyard, you will find the exit shop for the Voyage of the Little Mermaid attraction, an open-air shop that features anything and everything that a little Disney princess would want! If you can make it past that store, you will find a merchandise cart in the middle of the courtyard that has tons of Playhouse Disney merchandise with many of the same characters from the Disney Channel shows that this popular attraction is based off of, including “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” “Handy Manny” and “Little Einsteins.” In the back left corner of the courtyard is also the Disney Studios Store, whose merchandise is updated frequently to coincide with each Disney animated film that comes out along with Disney-Pixar items and general character merchandise.

Venturing down Mickey Avenue, just outside the Toy Story Mania! attraction is a store dedicated to merchandise from the “Toy Story” movies along with Toy Story exclusive merchandise. But one of the most unique stores located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is back in the Animation Courtyard at the end of the Magic of Disney Animation attraction (you can also enter this store without going through the attraction via doors located to the right of main entrance). The Animation Gallery is perhaps the crowning jewel of the merchandise stores at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, offering a jaw-dropping collection of framed art, large Disney figurines, sculptures of Disney characters, books, DVDs, pins, cels (ranging in price from very expensive to inexpensive) and collectible posters. What also makes this store so unique is that you can peruse through the computer located here to search for the exact poster you want if it is not in the store – and you can have it printed out right then and there for a collectible item that you will only find here!
