On March 1, 2008, Anheuser-Busch welcomed its third project to the Orlando theme park industry, Aquatica, joining Sea World Orlando and Discovery Cove to create a trio of marine life adventures that are distinctly unique to the Central Florida area. This revolutionary South Seas-inspired water park offers guests a whole new take on the traditional water park, from its extraordinary slides and attractions to its incorporation of marine life, including being the first water park to house marine mammals and the only place in the Southeastern United States where you can find Commerson’s dolphins.

When guests first arrive at Aquatica, they will be immersed in lush landscaping inspired by the vivid colors and carefree personality of the South Seas Islands. The feel of Aquatica – everything from the grounds to the buildings, will be reminiscent of New Zealand, Australia and New Guinea. This year-round park will offer a ton of amenities, including private cabana rentals, dining facilities that include an all-you-can-eat restaurant and many healthy alternatives, gift shops, beach and picnic areas, locker and towel rentals, free use of life vests and shower/changing areas. Aquatica may be the first park to fully immerse guests into the mystery of the seas, taking them in, under and over the water with some of the world’s most inventive rides while also offering unique animal encounters with giant anteaters, exotic birds, scores of tropical fish and Commerson’s dolphins. In fact, these dolphins are an integral part of the park and are the center of the most popular attraction at Aquatica, the Dolphin Plunge, where guests actually shoot down enclosed tubes that run through the habitat of these magnificent creatures.
