Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort opened on August 1, 1997 at the Walt Disney World Resort. Located just minutes from the Disney-MGM Studios and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, this moderate resort celebrates the cultures of Mexico and the American Southwest amidst a picturesque backdrop of Mayan architecture and a great lakeside location. The Spanish theme is carried out well throughout Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, as you can enjoy Latin-tinged American cuisine at the Maya Grill or take in the Southwestern décor at the convention center, which has more than 220,000 square feet of meeting space available. The feature pool (there are also three smaller heated pools located throughout) is also of the most unique at Walt Disney World as well. This swimming hole is anchored around a 46-foot Mayan pyramid that actually has a slide going right through it, making it a popular daytime destination for families on one of Florida’s hot summer (or winter) days. Guests staying at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort can also expect to encounter great amenities, including limited room service, a health club, babysitting and child services, a business center, barber and beauty shop, wireless internet access, and tons of recreations options. Families can play together on the playground at the Dig Site, play games in the arcade, take a jog around the scenic Lago Dorado, rent a boat or kayak for some fun on the water or enjoy a leisurely ride on a bike through the resort. But, no matter which resort you choose to stay at, you will always have the privileges that are associated with staying at a hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort. You will enjoy Extra Magic Hours (before the parks open and after they close), in which only resort guests get to experience the best attractions with much lesser crowds. If you are flying into Orlando International Airport, you can also take advantage of Disney’s Magical Express Transportation, which picks you up and takes you to your Walt Disney World Resort free of charge. Transportation is also complimentary on-site at your resort hotel, as you can hop on a bus and be shuttled anywhere on property without ever having to spend a dime to park or worry about how to get where. There are other resort benefits as well, such as the Disney Dining Plan, an offer where you can save 40 percent on dining on over 100 restaurants across property, as well as complimentary package delivery and amazing facilities that only Walt Disney World Resort guests can enjoy. We here at Orlando Fun Tickets hope you enjoy your stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
