Fantasmic!

Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort often have so much fun on vacation that they do not want each day to end – but the three nighttime spectaculars that take place at the Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios prove that often times, the end of your fun-filled day can actually be the best and most memorable part! This production is unique, however, combining a little bit of everything you would expect in one of the stage shows at this park with fireworks, your favorite Disney characters, great music and a little bit of imagination! The storyline of Fantasmic! revolves around Mickey Mouse’s dream, which is overtaken by evil villains. Throughout the 25-minute show, dream sequences are projected up on fountains of water that shoot up in front of the stage in between live-action scenes on the actual stage. In addition, the canal of water that separates the stage from the 9,000 seats in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre is used for floats that bring out a host of characters, including some of your favorite Disney princesses. As with all classic Disney adventures, however, Mickey Mouse prevails over evil in the end – just be sure to stay in your seat until the show completely ends, as the last minute of Fantasmic! is the best one!

While Fantasmic! is still as popular today as it has always been, there are some changes on their way to this production. Beginning in 2009, Fantasmic! will only be held on certain days of the week so as to not interfere with the new American Idol Experience coming to the park. This is a show that you certainly don’t want to miss, though, so be sure to check ahead to see what days it will be playing during your vacation!
