High School Musical 3 Pep Rally

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is chock full of shows that re-enact some of the best movies in Disney history, such as Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. But the newest performance to hit the streets of the Studios (literally) is Disney’s High School Musical 3: Senior year – Right Here, Right Now!, a show that made its debut performance on October 24, 2008 to coincide with the opening of the third installment of the hit “High School Musical” movie franchise.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year – Right Here, Right Now! replaced the High School Musical 2: School’s Out show that made its last performance on September 13, 2008 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And just like the latest version of the movie (which is in theaters for the first time after the first two movies premiered on the Disney Channel), the show is bigger and better than ever, with an all-new stage, new props and of course new songs from the movie such as the opening performance of “Now or Never.” This production also features concert-style lighting and all-new interactive sequences that get guests more involved in the fun than ever before!

What makes High School Musical 3: Senior Year – Right Here, Right Now! unique is that the stage moves, meaning that this show does not have a permanent home. In fact, the stage actually travels from backstage at the Studios and down Hollywood Boulevard before making its stop in the large courtyard right in front of Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. This does make for a little bit of a tricky situation for guests waiting to see the show, however, as everyone is forced to leave the entire courtyard open until the unit is in place. Then, Cast Members (who have the area roped off) will slowly ease the crowds forward until they are within the area they are allowed to view the show in. This does make for a lot of guests jockeying for the best possible position for viewing, so be sure to get to the courtyard early and hold onto your little ones when they allow the crowd to move forward into place if you want to ensure that they will be able to have a good view of the entire show (guests in the front are also encouraged to kneel or sit down so that more people can have a view of the stage).
