Hollywood Boulevard Dining
Hollywood Boulevard is the main entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so it is not wonder that some of the best restaurants in the entire park are located right here. Indeed, with three full service restaurants and plenty of quick service stops, there is no shortage of dining options along this jam-packed section of the park!
Named after one of the most famous intersections in America, Hollywood & Vine is the first restaurant guests will encounter as they walk through the park. Located just around the corner from the large Mickey’s of Hollywood merchandise store and directly beside the 50’s Prime Time Cafe, this restaurant recalls the golden age of Hollywood just like the rest of this park. Families can feast together at this all-you-can-eat buffet full of classic American food choices or make it extra-special for the little ones in your group by booking the character dining option here, Playhouse Disney’s Play ‘n’ Dine at Hollywood & Vine! Whether you are dining here for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will always know your entire family will be satisfied after eating a meal here!
Next door to Hollywood & Vine is the 50’s Prime Time Café. As the name suggests, this restaurant beckons the 1950s in every aspect – from the exterior of the “house” you are entering to the black and white TVs throughout the large “kitchen” you eat in! Be prepared for one of the most entertaining meals of your entire vacation here, as your host or hostess (otherwise known as Mom or Dad) will serve up comfort food right along with a healthy dose of kitchen rules – so make sure you clean your plate!
One of the more expensive dining options (but also one of the most memorable) is the Hollywood Brown Derby, a replica of the famed Hollywood restaurant that attracted LA’s brightest stars. Located to the right of Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat at the end of Hollywood Boulevard, the Hollywood Brown Derby serves up gourmet American cuisine in an intimate atmosphere, helping to authenticate the dining experience of this famous eatery.
Each of these three restaurants above are solid choices for either a family meal or a nice dinner for two, but if you are contemplating eating dinner and then heading to a showing of Fantasmic!, you might want to consider booking a Fantasmic! Dinner Package. This deal gets you a priority seating reservation at one of the restaurants above along with a guaranteed seat at Fantasmic! that evening. You do have to book this package ahead of time, however, and even if you don’t want to reserve this package, reservations are still highly suggested for any of the full service restaurant at the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE, guaranteeing your family more time in the parks enjoying the attractions and less time waiting on a table!
If you don’t want to invest time in waiting for a sit-down meal or just want to save your family money, there are also several quick service dining options on Hollywood Boulevard and around the park as well that still provide a large serving of food at a more affordable price. And yet another way to save money when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks (or any of the attractions in Central Florida) is to purchase your discounted tickets before you leave for vacation!
