Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party

One of the best times of the year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort is around the holiday season. The Walt Disney World theme parks, resorts and other attractions come alive with the holiday spirit, with special events (like the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at the Disney-MGM Studios), decorations and flare that is sure to put everyone in the holiday spirit! Beginning select nights on November 10, 2008 and running until December 19, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will invade the Magic Kingdom Park after regular park hours. This five-hour special ticket event features all of your favorite Magic Kingdom attractions in addition to some special holiday surprises! Among the celebration activities are: a new Castle Dream Lights presentation, a brand new Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade (tip: this parade runs twice each night at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It is best to wait until the second viewing of the parade to secure a great location to watch it, and among the best prime spots is anywhere in Frontierland), live stage shows featuring your favorite Disney characters, character greetings throughout the park, complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, and snow coming down on Main Street U.S.A.

Admission to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is approximately $ 50 for adults and $ 35 for kids ages 3-9. Regular park tickets to the Walt Disney World parks do not include admission to this event, so be sure to buy your tickets at the Magic Kingdom Park or call 407-W-DISNEY for ticket information. Tickets are only valid for the event the day that you purchase them for. While this party is a little extra on the wallet, this special event is worth every penny, and no vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort around the holidays would be complete without it!
