Epcot, one of the largest theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort, is chock full of things to do and see. For example, guests can peruse Future World to see man’s latest technological advances, or head over to the World Showcase and walk the mile-plus journey around the different countries of the world. Each pavilion offers authentic architecture, food and adventures from that specific nation, including everything right down to the people working there and the costumes they adorn.
With so much to do and see, however, it is easy to miss many of the attractions here. In fact, there are so many that you may not even have the opportunity to see them all! But, with a little help from your friends at OrlandoFunTickets.com, we would like to provide you with a few of the easy-to-miss attractions that you may want to check out while making your way around Epcot.
And, when you are planning out your day for this fun-filled theme park, keep in mind that you can see it all for less with tickets from OrlandoFunTickets.com! Future World is a great place to start your day at Epcot – and not only because it is located at the front of the park. Future World opens earlier than the World Showcase, closes earlier and doesn’t offer the same quality of food that the World Showcase does at night (in other words, dining is much better at one of the country pavilions!). And, ending your day in the World Showcase will also give you prime viewing for the end-of-the-day fireworks spectacular; Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
Just like at the World Showcase, Future World has different pavilions that patrons can visit to see the different attractions and exhibits this area of the park provides. At the Universe of Energy pavilion, Ellen’s Energy Adventure is a 45-minute presentation featuring everyone’s favorite comedian – Ellen DeGeneres, and everyone’s favorite scientist – Bill Nye (The Science Guy). Ellen and Bill will help you travel through the creation of the universe to teach you how energy was created and how it is used throughout the world.
Next, at the Land pavilion, it is easy to bypass our next two attractions, as Soarin’, the park’s most-visited ride, resides here. Before, or after, you soar over California, head over to Living with the Land, a 14-minute boat ride that educates guests on the latest developments in aquaculture and desert farming. The Circle of Life is also located here, and your favorite characters from the Walt Disney animated film “The Lion King” will educate guests on the dangers that face our environment in a 20-minute live action/animated film.
After visiting these two pavilions, head over to Innoventions, which offers interactive exhibits that allow you to experience the technology of tomorrow today. Imageworks is another fun exhibit as well, as you can take fun photos and email them to yourself – or your friends and family back home!
Once you have made your way through Future World, you will want to dedicate the rest of your evening to the World Showcase. One thing in particular for parents with small children to look out for is the Kidcot stops in all 14 pavilions. Here, little ones can custom-create a mask with different memorabilia and trinkets from around the world, giving them a very unique – and free – souvenir to take home with them.
One of the first stops you may come to, depending on which direction you start in, is the Canada pavilion. Canada is home to O’Canada, a stunning Circle-Vision 360 presentation of the great land to the north. This is a standing-room only theater, but it is a great first stop as you make your way around the countries. And, for another Circle-Vision 360 movie, check out Reflections of China, which will take you from Beijing to Shanghai over in the China pavilion.
Next, as you head past the United Kingdom and France pavilions, you will come upon the U.S.A. pavilion right in the middle of the World Showcase. Many people, especially Americans, don’t bother to go inside and see what is there, but the American Adventure is a great history lesson for everyone to take in. During this 30-minute show, a mixture of audio-animatronic characters and film bring to life the heroes of American history.
While there is much more to do and see at Epcot, we hope you take the time to visit the above attractions. And don’t forget – for discounted Disney tickets to all four theme parks, check out our unbeatable deals right here through OrlandoFunTickets.com!
